Welcome to Canada, when you hear Canada called our sister to the north that is a perfect description. The country is home to the most breath taking pristine wilderness you could ever hope to see. The views simple take your breath away. The family that operates the Gravel Lake Cabins were great host, their hospitality and great cooking makes it well worth the trip. Those "flapjack's are out of this world good.
This was our bear hunting trip to Gravel Lakes we stayed at Gravel Lakes Cabins and used there outfitting and guide service. This was our third trip there so you could say we really enjoy it there. This trip Gary managed to get his black bear. It will be on dispay in the shop. But that won't stop us from going back again.
Gary did some fishing with his friend Stan while he was there. This was an interesting experience. Stan has never used a fly rod before and from a two man canoe, well even their guide headed for "high ground". Gary did manage to bring home a great Northern Pike which will soon be on dispay in his shop.
I would have to say that Gravel Lakes is for the hunting vacationer who wants to spend all there time hunting or fishing since there is not any large city near. That is part of it's rustic charm.
